it's not that serious

it is so..

Oh ye of little faith. Man, we tend to doubt things that are visible so what makes you think we will have faith in what we cannot see? Trouble all around and no relief in sight? I know there are some of us who question the mere existence of God. We will admit to a "higher being/power, the man upstairs, etc" but cannot imagine we were here not by happenstance but by Divine order..
Yes, I am one who acknowledges the existence and the power of God. Question? How am I able to believe in something I don't understand? Well, I am a RN, and I know nil about electricity and how it works..how it scrambles through those wires, into my house and makes the little glass bulbs glow when I flip the switch. But, I am not going to sit in the dark waiting to understand! I am flawed, ragged, and in the words of the great Jill Scott..beatifully human...and I some things I just know....in my Spirit. It is so.

When friends' betray you...

The title friend is used so loosely in our society today. My grandfather once said that "if you have one good friend in this lifetime consider yourself lucky and blessed" all others are what grandpy called "buddies". Then he gave his definition of a buddy..."buddies eat shi# and scratch corn". As a child I did not understand this statement, and to be honest, I thought it was quite silly! But, as I have grown, made "friends" lost "friends" and encountered many "buddies", I have a clearer understanding of the lesson.

Those we entrust with our most cherished possessions should only be those who are totally, fully, without question on our team. They root for us in good and bad times and love us despite our humaness.....all the rest...let 'em eat shit and scratch corn!..cause it's not that serious.
